WELCOME TO JIM'S AUTISM BLOG

Hi everyone and thanks for visiting our blog. My wife and I created this blog to chronicle our experience while raising a son with Asperger's syndrome. Since our son was diagnosed with an ASD at age 5, we've had a lot of questions. Lucky for us we have a great support network in place. And our blog gives us an opportunity to share what we've learned with our readers. We hope you find our blog informative and interesting. Thanks again for visiting.

SPRING IS DRAWING NEAR

Earlier this week, we took Jacob for quite a long walk down by the harbour near where we live.  It was sunny and fairly warm considering it's only April and we do live in Canada.  It's a nice walk no matter the time of year, but Spring is when it seems that all the wildlife is out and, like us, enjoying the nice weather.

We often see geese at the bay, but Jacob was very excited to see all the different types of birds up close.  We also saw a couple of hawks while we were walking, but we couldn't get a picture of them.  Jacob's behaviour was also fantastic for the whole walk which turned out to be a couple of hours.

Hopefully the nicer weather can help Jacob work through this rough patch at school that he's been going through.  I personally think that Jacob needs a vacation from his daily routine which is why I already can't wait for Summer..

  1. That swan looks like it is posing for the camera! Great pictures! I hope things get better for Jacob.

    1. I'm sure they will soon. Yesterday was the best day in school that Jacobs had in months, so hopefully, its a sign of things to come.
