Unexpected behaviour is like a snowfall. It covers everything. |
Did I mention that its only one week until Christmas? Yikes! Last night Jacob had lots of homework, which also seems strange. When I was a kid, the week before Christmas was only for fun, but Jacob has a spelling test on Friday. I think he wants to take it easy, and besides, what kid can concentrate when Santa is already packing his sleigh.
On a somber note, Jacob has mentioned that "he isn't as sad about Max" this holiday season. Which almost brought a tear to my eye. That's why we wanted to be in a new home by Christmas so Jacob could start having new memories in a new place. It's strange how when you become a parent, you'll literally do anything for your child, even if it means buying a new home.
Then yesterday at work, I hurt my shoulder. So I don't know how much help I will be until the big day. So Shannie will be on her own for wrapping gifts and what not. It looks like everyone will be getting gift cards this year. Luckily I got Jacobs gifts already because I'm not sure how much fun he'd have with a gift card. But then again, you never know.
I am so happy to hear that Jacob isn't as sad about Max this year. Seems like moving to a new house and starting new was a good thing to do. Hope your shoulder gets better soon so you don't miss out on all the gift wrapping fun! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristy. What a time to get hurt. My season ends Friday, and now I cant wrap presents. To be honest, I don't enjoy gift wrapping too much anyway.
